My Reaction To Aamir Khan Slamming All India Bakchod Roast

The tables have turned, the provocateur has been provoked!

In a strange turn of events, Bollywood legend/mouthpiece for Indian liberals, Aamir Khan, slammed the highly inflammatory All India Bakchod roast saying,

“I don’t like to show you violence. I am sure there are lot of young people who have liked the show. My opinion is that it was a violent show. Karan (Johar) and Arjun (Kapoor) are my friends and I scolded them and told them that I was not impressed with it. I am not someone who can laugh at abuses and bad language, I think I have passed that age. I am not a 14 year-old who will laugh at abuses. I am not impressed. I personally have a problem with what they have done, therefore I have not seen the show. I felt that this is not my type of show, that’s why I haven’t seen it,”

Aamir Khan was at Youth for Governance 2015 (YFG) in Mumbai on Tuesday when he spoke candidly about his reaction to the roast which sparked a SHIT ton of frivolous controversy in India this past fortnight (isn’t that a lovely turn of phrase?)

For the Bollywood fans out there who’ve been living in a cave  in Ladakh for the past couple of weeks, the All India Bakchod Roast was a charity event that saw Bollywood stars roasting each other a la Comedy Central.

Par example: Karan Johar said about Ranveer Singh, “I don’t like the films he’s done. The last thing good he was in was Deepika Padukone.”

Harmless right? Wrong! India has been in a frenzy ever since with the government of Maharashtara considering suing the network that broadcast the event. Some Bollywood stars were in support of the event, others are not including Aamir Khan it seems.

Where do I stand on this? I’m a bleeding heart Liberal and I wrongfully presumed that Aamir Khan, whose revolutionary socio-political TV program Satyamev Jayate opened India’s Pandora Box, was also one. I was dead wrong!

Aamir, you of all people should commend freedom of speech especially when it’s a step in the right direction for your country and the Indian diaspora. Your last film PK caused a shit storm all over India and your TV program supported the abolition of dowries and homosexuals!

Side note: I realize I used the word “shit” a lot just now. I’m proving my point.

Aamir’s very wholesome poster for PK. So not controversial.

Aamir, you’re a progressive, an advocate for freedom of speech so why the fuck are you recklessly using the word “violent” to describe a few, harmless insults that a few Bollywood celebs are throwing at each other?

Are you saying that you appearing in a poster all nude with only a boombox to hide your precious laddoos is perfectly acceptable but several Bollywood stars poking fun at each other is wrong??!!

Watch Aamir making an ass out of himself in the clip below.

  1. I think Aamir might have overreacted a bit too much on this ocassion without much necessity. He should have taken this in a playful manner like the like celebrities who were part of the AIB Roast.

    • Yup, exactly. He of all people should advocate for freedom of speech in India.Dumb bitch. Love him 😉

  2. I think the reason he felt like that is not because he is a dumb bitch but he one of the very few people in the industry who doesn’t indulge in and refrains from trash talking and AIB Roast was all about trash talking although it was all in good humor.

  3. I love him too in a non homo way lol. He is the best. King of Bollywood. Khan of Khans.

    • His show, Satyamev Jayate, is the most brilliant talk show I’ve ever seen, not to mention one of the most influential. I love that man so much and I understand where he’s coming from, that India is a very traditional, conservative country but funnily enough even the people who’ve lampooned the AIB Roast are watching it & laughing their butts off!! It’s just good fun. Let’s not forget that it raised 40 LAKH FOR CHARITIES!
