Kangana Ranaut Is The New People’s Champion

The producers of Simran are reportedly miffed with the lead star of their film, Kangana Ranaut for diverting attention away from their film in interviews and instead talked about her controversial equations with Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Pancholi.

The producers believe that these controversies the actor is currently embroiled in could cost the film at the box office.

What they fail to understand is that these controversies will, if anything, draw more people to the film.

In an age where transparency is the new status quo, the strong, unfiltered Ranaut is the people’s champion.

A quick glance at the comments section of Youtube videos confirms this,

“What a woman. Wonderwoman.” rights one Youtuber while another wrote, “Now am tired of writing how much I love her on every interview of hers.”

In an age where transparency is the new status quo, the strong, unfiltered Ranaut is the people’s champion.

Indeed, the self-made woman who came from nothing is so adored by the public that she singlehandedly got butts in seats when Tanu Weds Manu Returns came out in theaters back in 2015. The film, a sleeper hit, was made on a meager budget and managed to rake in over 100 crores solely because of her powerhouse performance in the film, which also got her her third National Award.

(Side-note: no Khan has ever gotten a single National Award for acting)

And when Bollywood bigwigs, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan, had the audacity to take a dig at her at this year’s International Indian Film Academy Awards, they were forced to apologize after every Indian and their grandmother tore them a new one on social media.

Ranaut has indeed transcended Bollywood and its much-loathed, superficial trappings and has become the spokesperson for every downtrodden Indian woman and man.
